Thomas Sydney Helm, beloved husband of Joan Helm (Pollard) of Lucknow, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Wingham & District Hospital on Tuesday January 24, 2023 at the age of 81. Tom was born in Ashfield Township on December 30, 1941 to the late Myrtle (Ritchie) and Robert Helm. Greatly missed by his children Janine (Barry) Smyth and Doug (Jenni) Helm and grandchildren Ryan, Brayden (Courtney Soehner), Carmen, Reed and Nelson. Also survived by sister Roberta Whytock, brother Art (Barb) Helm, sister-in-law Phyllis Helm and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers James and Grant and brother-in-law Lloyd Whytock. Visitation will be held at the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow on Friday January 27, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will take place from the chapel on Saturday January 28, 2023 at 11 AM with interment at Greenhill Cemetery.

My heart goes out to all of the Helm family in this time of loss with the passing of Tom. My thoughts and prayers are with you. My BMO career has brought me into contact with wonderful folks and I am forever grateful for that.
We were really sadened to hear of Tom's passing. I look back on the time I worked on your farm as one of the really fun times in my life. Tom and I had some really good chats and I always felt like family. When I think of those times it brings a big smile. So Think of Tom and it will always bring a smile.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was one of my favourite Sunday morning customers at Jean's. Tom was always up for friendly banter and a few good gibes going both ways and always interested in our camping adventures....he will be missed.
I just wanted to say what a great man my Uncle Tom was. With his quick wit, great humour and intelligence, Uncle Tom was always great fun to be around. He was very thoughtful and caring and will be missed by so many. I am so very sorry for your loss. Love to you all❤️
I was shocked and saddened to hear about Tom. He was a great guy and any time I ran into him, he always had time to tease me about something.
