Pat was born near Ayr, Ontario, the third of seven children. In 1966, she and Clarence moved with their two young daughters to their farm near Tiverton. During their 29 years there, they added two more daughters and made many memories. In 1995, they retired to Ripley, where Pat became greatly involved in the community, especially enjoying competing in the Fall Fair – both by herself and with her grandchildren. Gardening was another joy, and she made many friends in the Ripley Horticulture Club. Pat was known by many as the “Barbie Doll Lady” for her delicate doll clothes, and enjoyed many handcrafts including embroidery and quilting. Throughout her life, Pat was very involved in church life, and enjoyed sharing her faith with others, including her family. A Memorial service will be held at the Kincardine Baptist Church, 569 Queen Street Kincardine, at a later date. Spring interment Ripley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Huron Shores Hospice or Kincardine Baptist Church would be appreciated.
