Thornton William Eedy WWII Veteran

Thornton William Eedy, formerly of Dungannon and Goderich, died peacefully in his sleep at the Parkwood Institute, London on February 20, 2017 at the age of 98. He was a World War II veteran having served overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was born in Ellice Township, Ontario on April 20, 1918 to the late Laura (Yundt) and Heber Eedy. Thornton is survived by his brothers Frank (Beth) of Calgary, and Jack of Toronto. He will be missed by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his siblings: Ross (Isabel), Irvin (Colleen), Lucile (Ralph) Henderson, and sister in law Jean. After the war Thornton became a beef farmer and was active in the Morning Star Masonic Lodge and a Life Long member of the Royal Canadian Legion. In keeping with Thornton's wishes, Private Family Arrangements have been made. Spring interment will take place at Dungannon Cemetery.
