He was born in Wingham on December 17, 1957 to the late Edith (Elliott) and Donald Simpson. Greatly missed by wife Brenda and siblings Betty Anne (Rob), Alex (Cindy), Jim, Donald (Dianne), Rod (Annette), Steve (Tracey), Helen (Gord) and Christine (Dave). Honourary Papa to Gerard, Jack and Kolette Gillespie. Ever missed by his faithful companion and co-pilot Bronagh. Predeceased by brothers Bill and Elliott Simpson and mother-in-law Dorothy Barry. Paul was an electrician for many years but had also travelled throughout Canada working on the oil fields. He lived in Toronto until coming home to farm in Kintail, a place he had always had a deep family connection with. Farming continued to be his passion. He met his saving grace Brenda and soon loved being a papa. He will forever be remembered for his opinion that “everything tastes better with ketchup”. A graveside service will be held at the Kintail Cemetery on Tuesday September 20, 2022 at 2 PM. Paul’s request was for all attending to please wear something colourful- anything but black!
