Beverley Joan Hanson
April 12, 2020

Wendy Karn - 2020-05-15 12:17:54

To the Family of Bev: I am very sorry for your loss.

I met Bev through my husband, Paul Karn, son of Gordon and Patricia Karn of Guelph. Paul and I rented cottages in the Kincardine area and would visit Bev. I loved her quaint cottage in Point Clark. She always welcomed us and was a fun host.

Sadly Paul was killed in December 2019 in a single vehicle accident and his eldest sister, Debbie passed the same week from terminal cancer.

Life is fragile, but we must still embrace each day as a gift.

Sincerely, Wendy Karn

So sorry to hear about Joan.  I stopped in to visit her a few times in Lucknow and she always knew me right away even after all these years.  But she called me Donna Pentelow as that was my name when she babysat me at her farm in Puslinch Township.  I remember riding the cows there.  I was so glad when I found she was living on Bluewater Beach Road just a few miles away from us before she went to Lucknow.  I know she went by Bev or Frankie but she was always Joan to me as that was what we called her when she was married to Bruce.  I even got my mother in for some visits in the last few years.  I will miss her crazy sense of humour!  She always made me laugh.

Our deepest condolences,

Donna and Gary Martin
