hi barbara, colin and rosalea...your wonderful parents entrusted babysitting you kids to me (my first...yikes) a few times. In my "senior" 20/20 hindsight, you needed no babysitting--you were already well-nurtured by your nurse/mother and musical/teacher/ craftsman/etc father. I remember those first, Spring weeks in 1967 in the new Brookside School hearing remarkable voice harmonies drifting through the walls from your dad's Gr.8 classroom into my Gr.8 room and wishing we could join in--it must have been unforgettable in his Belfast 1-room teaching yrs for those kids. Oh yes, and you were nice neighbours across the road too...

Our sympathy to The Cameron Family on the passing of your father, Don.
Don was my (Mary), first teacher in 1950 in the one room school, SS#3, West Wawanosh Twp., located next door to his home farm.
After school on many winter days, I remember walking home up the road behind Don, trying to follow in his long stride foot prints in the snow.
Sincerely, Mary B. (Purdon) Gaunt, and Barbara Ann (Purdon) Carey

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing, and so sorry we cannot gather to acknowledge this gentle and special man. Most of all I remember the twinkle in his eye as a story was building, or as he saw the funny side of a happening- I loved his wit. There will have to be a commemorative convertible ride this summer. with love and caring, Sheila Clake

Mr. Cameron taught me grade 8 at Brookside - a very long time ago (40 years!). Although I'd be a bit rusty, I could likely still parse a sentence and play the recorder, all thanks to him.
