Dear Bob and family,  I am so very sorry to hear of Eleanor's passing.  As you may remember, I first met Eleanor when we shared a room at the Kincardine Hospital in December 1971, and I am grateful for our 35+ year friendship!  No matter how much time passed between our chats/visits, it was like no time had passed as we just continued from where we had left off the time previously!  I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting up with you two at the Heritage Farm yearly, and as Eleanor broke all speed limits on her way to the french fry booth where I was working, it was always great to see that scooter rolling in.  If I was too busy at that time for a visit, Eleanor just returned later that day or the next, OR sometimes she was kind enough to grab a paring knife and pitch in and help us at the fry booth, and we could chat then!  I know that Eleanor was proud of her family, and spoke of you all with great love and pride. I am sorry that the two of you weren't able to enjoy more retirement years, but I know that you all have many wonderful memories and may they bring smiles to you all and bring comfort to you. I will see you either at visitation or the service....... In true Eleanor style, she fought a hard battle, but it wasn't to be.  We ALL will miss Eleanor!

I am heartbroken to hear of Eleanor's passing - she was such a lovely woman, so full of life, love and laughter. For many summers, she was not only my boss at the Kincardine Golf and Country Club, but also a "surrogate mom" to both Angela Bath and I. She taught us how to bake her famous scones and butter tarts (never as good as hers!) and guided us through some difficult teenage and early 20's years. I can still hear her chuckle and see her sparking eyes! Her love for her darling Bobby and her children, Terri, Rob and Rick was unquestionable in the way her face would light up whenever she talked about them or when they came to visit when we were at work. I feel so blessed to have had her as a part of my life - thank you for sharing her with us. Sending all of you love and strength in this difficult time.

Our sympathy is extended to Bob and family at the passing of Eleanor.  Eleanor was a wonderful woman and we had so much fun through the years.  We camped, snowmobiled, had lots of parties together and enjoyed wonderful times at The Kinloss Community Centre. She will be sadly missed by so many. From Dave and Freda Owen, London, Ontario.
